Justin Bieber is cool about One Direction's debut album rocketing to No 1 in the US iTunes chart

One Direction treated Z100 listeners in America to an acoustic web performance that drew in 40,000 listeners - 6 times more than Justin Bieber.

But the Canadian pop sensation has proved he's happy for 1D - and fellow British band The Wanted - by acknowledging their success on Twitter.

'Congrats to my dudes @onedirection for the #1 album on itunes and @thewantedmusic for the #2 on singles. We share the same queen. #Canadian,' Tweets Justin, 18.
