Prince William has reportedly taken up bird-watching in the Falkland Islands to try and stop him pining for Kate Middleton.
The RAF search and rescue pilot has been taking long walks along Bertha's Beach, which is home to a colony of penguins and is famed for its bird and marine life, with cheeky dolphins close to shore.
'It must be so difficult being so far apart from his new wife,' the source tells The Sun.
'They can talk on the phone but it's not the same as being together.'
Kate, 30 - whose husband is 2 weeks into his 6-week tour with the RAF - has been making a number of solo appearances while Wills is away.
Though she's appeared confident during the engagements, she was worried at first.
'It's taken a lot of coaching to work through her nerves,' says our source.
'Usually she has Wills by her side.
'She fears she'll trip up the stairs or say the wrong thing.'
