George Clooney: I've taken cocaine but now I prefer to be in bed by 10pm

George Clooney is nominated for the leading actor Oscar

George Clooney has admitted to taking cocaine and drinking excessively.

But the 50-year-old actor - who's nominated for 2 awards at this month's Oscars - says he's never worried about getting hooked on the Class A drug.

'I didn't have an issue with it,' says George.

'I'm not a big druggie, not at all. Blow is an absolute non-starter.

'I drink at times too much. I do enjoy drinking, and there have been
times in my life when it has crossed the line from being fun to have to
drink late at night for absolutely no reason.

'So what I do is, I stop.'

Silver fox George - who's currently dating ex-wrestler Stacy Keibler - insists he now leads a far less wild lifestyle.

He likes to be in bed by 10pm and can't drop off without having the TV on.

'Turning off the television causes me to think, and once I start that vision roaring, I have a very tough time getting to sleep,' George tells The Hollywood Reporter.

'I'm able to numb out [but] without question, I wake every night 5 times.'
