Kerry Katona is smitten with new man Steve Alce

Kerry Katona and Mark Croft went through a bitter divorce last year, but it seems Kerry, 31, is finally ready to be civil to her ex.

The reality TV star says she's impressed with the effort that cab driver Mark, 40, is making with their children Heidi, 4, and Max, 3.

'We get on brilliantly now. He sees the kids every other weekend and we've become friends again,' Kerry tells the Daily Star Sunday.

'I always hoped this would happen. I get on better with him than I do with Brian [McFadden].

'At least Mark sees his kids more often.'

But despite putting their past behind them, there's no chance of the couple ever getting back together - Kerry is now loved-up with new man Steve Alce.

Artist Steve, 34, recently admitted that he's had the hots for Kerry for over a decade.

'I fancied her in the Atomic Kitten days and I've stalked her ever since!' admits Steve. 'Now I've finally got hold of her.'
