Katy Perry signs Russell Brand divorce papers with a smiley face

Couple's break up is amicable

Katy Perry and Russell Brand have ended their marriage on good terms.

The pair, who were married for 14 months before comedian Russell announced they'd split in December, have reached a 'comprehensive written settlement', TMZ reports.

Singer Katy even signed the legal documents, which were filed yesterday at the LA Superior Court, with a smiley face.

Katy's upbeat attitude could be because Russell, 36, has waived any claim to her reported £28m fortune - even though they didn't sign a per-nup.

Russell also ticked a box stating that both parties 'agree this cause may be decided as an uncontested matter'.

Katy's positivity continued onto her Twitter page yesterday.

'Rise and shine and give God the glory! It's a BEAUTIFUL day!' Tweeted Katy, 27.
