Dawn French: I'd put the weight back on for Simon Cowell

It seems Dawn French has a bit of a fascination with Simon Cowell.

The 54-year-old, who's one half of comedy duo French And Saunders with good friend Jennifer, 53, has been keeping a close eye on The X Factor boss.

'I've been stalking Simon,' says Dawn.

'Although I've never met him, I have this running joke with Jen about wanting to pin him down - and, y'know, I could do that.'

Simon, 52, is a fan of Dawn's too. He plans to create a TV food competition to rival Masterchef - and thinks she'd make the prefect host.

But, as Dawn's recently slimmed down and lost 7st 7lb, he wants her to gain a few pounds again before she gets in front of the camera.

'I'd love to work with Simon Cowell,' Dawn tells Woman.

'For him, I might just be up to the challenge of putting some weight back on!'
