Heartbroken Russell Brand has found an unlikely shoulder to cry on: his ex- girlfriend Kate Moss.

Now has learnt the married supermodel got back in touch with Russ after his split with Katy Perry, 27, in December and has been helping him through the ordeal.

We're told the Croydon beauty has even texted 36-year-old Russell, offering to set him up on some blind dates.

‘She wanted him to know he has friends he can rely on,' reveals a source.

‘Kate's always had a huge soft spot for him and she sent a wedding gift when Russell got married in 2010.

'She knows how heavily the divorce will be weighing on him and she wanted him to know that she cares.'
