Caroline Flack was heavily criticised for her age-gap relationship with teenager Harry Styles - but the TV presenter is fighting back for 'older' women.

The Xtra Factor host has shown her support for 53-year-old Madonna's Superbowl performance last night.

'Amazed at the amount of people saying Madonna is "too old" for pop any more, to which the correct feminist response is: f*ck off you giblet,' Tweeted journalist Caitlin Moran, 36.

Caroline, 32, replied: 'Exactly xx.'

Caroline and One Direction heartthrob Harry, now 18, first hooked up in October last year when they kissed at a party.

Though she was labelled a 'cougar' Caroline insisted Harry was mature for his 17 years.

'It's a social thing that people aren't accepting of big age gaps,' she told us.

'I keep thinking: "What have I done wrong?"

'But I haven't done anything wrong.'
