Katie Price: It's true I sometimes think Peter Andre and I should still be together for the kids' sake

But a reconciliation is not what Jordan wants

Katie Price has hit back at Peter Andre's claims that she asked him to get back with her.

Pete revealed in an interview this week that his glamour girl ex-wife '100%' suggested they reignite their romance - but she says they were only messing around.

'Pete and I talked and joked, in front of others, about getting together and going on holiday to Dubai at New Year,' admits Katie, 33.

'There were discussions about what may have been and what might be if we got back together.'

The pair, who divorced in 2009, went through a brief period of peace over the Christmas period, but they're no longer on speaking terms as Pete, 38, thinks the 'bitterness is still there'.

But Katie has branded his words 'full of spite' and 'saddening' and insists she's not still hung up on her former hubby.

'Of course I sometimes think we should still be together for the sake of the children,' Katie writes in a statement.

'But I know that cannot and will not be the case.

'Nor is that what I want - I am not sure how many times I have to say it.'
