Prince Harry has been going through intense training to prepare him for the Afghanistan front line.
The Apache helicopter pilot, who served in the war-torn country in 2008, is reported to have been hooded, threatened and warned of the chilling tortures he could face if he's captured by the enemy.
'If Harry's Apache goes down he's on his own,' says a friend.
'These exercises are a glimpse of what he might face in a worst case scenario.'
The 27-year-old Prince attended the sessions - which also included a 'defence, survival, evasion, resistance and extraction' programme - at RAF St Mawgan near Newquay in Cornwall.
'If he gets through this he'll make the grade,' his friend tells The Sun.
'He's sure he will.'
