With Mark Wright's departure, Lydia Bright and James ‘Arg' Argent were set to be TOWIE's number one couple.

But just weeks after saying they were moving in together, it seems the couple have split.

First there were pictures of Arg, 23, partying with other girls, then we spotted Lydia crying uncontrollably after filming at the Brickyard Bar in Essex.

So when we saw her turn up with just her girlfriends in tow at the National Television Awards last week, we decided it was time to find out what was going on.

And it seems it's sad news.

Asked if she and Arg had split, 21-year-old Lydia told Now: ‘Basically, me and James aren't getting along.

'You grow up and become different people and that's what's happened. I really can't say any more.'
