Kate Middleton and Prince William have reportedly put plans to start a family on the 'backburner'.
The Royal couple want to instead spend 2012 concentrating on the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations, which will mark her 60th year on the throne.
'Realistically there is not going to be time for a baby and they have said they are in no hurry,' says a source.
'There is no urgent need for an heir - we already have 2.
'William and Kate want to take things in their own good time.'
On top of this, RAF co-pilot Wills, 29, will soon be leaving the country for a tour of duty in the Falkland Islands, while Kate, 30, will spend a lot of time visiting her charities in the UK.
'The Duchess will have a handful of engagements while the Duke is away,' a spokesman tells The Mail On Sunday.
'She will visit all her patronages publicly at least once and continue to visit them privately. It will be a busy period.'
