Lucy-Jo Hudson plays Rosie Trevanion in Wild At Heart
Former Coronation Street actress Lucy-Jo Hudson wowed viewers when she returned to ITV show Wild At Heart this month sporting a new super-slim figure.

Now Lucy-Jo, 28 - who's dropped from a size 14 to a size 8 - has revealed that she first lost weight to make sure she looked stunning for her wedding to former co-star Alan Halsall, 29.

'I lost weight because every bride wants to look their best so I started looking after my health more,' says Lucy-Jo.

'I started exercising too and I've sort of kept it up.

'Cardio never seemed to work with me but now I do a lot more resistance work with weights and squats and lunges. I think the more muscle you have, the more fat you burn.'

Lucy-Jo was a beautiful bride when she married Alan - who's played Corrie's Tyrone Dobbs for 14 years - in 2009, and she's continued to stay in shape since the wedding.

Her new diet makes her feel so much healthier, she never wants to go back to her old routine.

'Back when I ate stodge and ready meals I had no energy and felt tired and sluggish,' Lucy-Jo tells the Daily Mirror.

'Now I eat little and often instead of eating big meals. I'll have six mini meals a day just to keep the metabolism kicking in.

'If I get hungry I get moody so I always have snacks in my fridge and on set.'
