James Corden stepped out at the Critics' Circle Theatre Awards looking super-slim last night after losing an incredible 5st.
The 33-year-old star has reportedly dropped from 21st to 16st - and is hoping to shed another 21lb before he takes his hit play One Man, Two Guvnors to Broadway later this year.
'James is the lightest he has been since he was a child - 16st,' says a source.
'As well as hiring a personal trainer, James cut out his favourite snack - cheesy Quavers - and stopped eating late at night.
'He's not doing anything faddy but is simply trying to eat more healthily. The plan is to lose another stone-and-a-half by April, when the show kicks off in New York.'
The actor and writer has become known for playing chubby characters on screen.
He found fame as bullied schoolboy Jamie Rymer in Fat Friends and starred as Smithy in Gavin & Stacey with Ruth Jones, who has also transformed her figure.
But since his fiancée Julia Carey gave birth to his son Max last March, James has been on a mission to improve his health.
'Since becoming a dad, his priorities have changed. He realised he wanted to get fit and maximise play time with his son Max,' the source tells the Daily Mirror.
'He didn't want to be huffing and puffing around after the youngster.'
