Jeff Brazier, 32, believes great romances don't always begin in ideal circumstances.

He once dated a girl who was still entangled in her last relationship - but it worked out okay in the end.

'But when you take a risk and fight for something you believe in, it feels that much sweeter when your gamble pays off,' says Jeff, 32.

'You may have found out your man dated someone else while getting to know you, but don't walk away unless you're 100 per cent sure you won't regret your decision.

'The mark of a special relationship is accepting each other's mistakes and learning from them.

'It isn't about what he was doing when he met you; it's about who he becomes when he's with you.'
