Mystery of Johnny Depp's 'bachelor' loft near home with Vanessa Paradis

Johnny has been doing up another property close to the family's house

Johnny Depp and his long term partner Vanessa Paradis have been together for nearly 14 years

Johnny Depp's been rocked by rumours he's splitting from French model Vanessa Paradis, 39, the mother of his two kids, after persistent bickering.

Last year a French magazine printed a the 48-year-old actor seemingly kissing his publicist Robin Baum, but the star said it was misleading.

A source tells Now that Johnny bought a £1.5 million loft conversion in LA last March, despite the family having an £8 million mansion in nearby West Hollywood.

‘He got the builders in and made it clear he intended to live there, which seemed odd as they have an 8-bedroom house nearby,' says the insider.

While Johnny denies any problems, his friend adds: ‘Things have been getting worse between him and Vanessa for the past year.'

Johnny Depp's spokesman declined to comment.
