Kate Middleton received a diamond brooch during her tour of Canada and America with Prince William last year - and it's quite a sparkler.
The accessory - specially commissioned from Hollywood designer Harry Winston - is platinum, studded with 302 diamonds and crafted into the shape of a polar bear. Cute.
And husband Wills, 29, was also given the gift of an equally impressive pair of cufflinks.
'These convey the wealth of respect and affection that we hold for the royal couple,' says the chairman of Harry Winston.
Clarence House yesterday released a list of all the items received by the couple on overseas tours last year and has been accused of down-playing the extravagance of the presents.
Kate, 30, and Wills' gifts - given to them by the premier of the Northwest Territories while visiting the Canadian town of Yellowknife - were simply listed as 'brooch' and 'cufflinks'.
'It is not appropriate for us to estimate a financial value on these gifts or specify details which indicate a gift is especially valuable to others,' Clarence House tells the Daily Mail.
'It would be discourteous to do so, because it is the gift itself which is important, not its value.'
