Abbey Clancy and husband Peter Crouch returned from hospital to find 4 burglars stealing from their rented house in Prestbury, Cheshire on Tuesday evening.
The thieves fled with £100,000 worth of jewellery, watches and Christmas presents, when they saw the couple driving up to their home.
'The men weren't able to take heavy items because they were disturbed,' a source tells The Sun.
'But they left the place ransacked.'
Model Abbey had left to pick up Peter, who was suffering from vomiting bug norovirus - originally feared to be meningitis - when the thieves broke in through the kitchen window of the £4.5m mansion.
The couple were also victims of burglary back in 2006 while footballer Peter, 30, was playing a match for Liverpool.
'What a week !!!' Tweets Abbey, 25.
'Thank u all for your lovely and supportive messages xx means alot xx.'
