Louis Walsh: Tulisa talks about the N-Dubz like they're The Beatles

Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos have bonded

Louis Walsh has survived countless rumours that he's facing the axe from The X Factor but for now, after 8 years, his job appears as safe as it's ever been.

The 59-year-old is loving new co-judge Tulisa Contostavlos...

'We 100 per cent have a genuine friendship,' Louis tells Now's Dan Wootton.

'She's rough around the edges but that's what I like about her. You go into her dressing room and they're smoking and drinking.

'She can be a bit of a loose cannon, but she cares. I love her honesty. What you see is what you get.

'I know more about Tulisa than I do anyone on the programme.'

Louis believes Tulisa, 23, is a born star.

'I think she has the potential to be absolutely enormous,' he says.

'But sometimes she thinks she knows it all when she doesn't.

'She talks about the N-Dubz like they're The Beatles but I didn't know who they were before the show.

'I didn't know who she was either!

'Not everyone loves the N-Dubz - they're not the Black Eyed Peas.

'But I love her. And it's not a put-on thing for the cameras.

'I just can't do fake any more.'
