X Factor 2009 winner Joe McElderry has revealed to Teen Now that he's thrilled by Little Mix's victory on Sunday.
The 20-year-old singer, who was mentored by Cheryl Cole in 2009, is very close to one of the girls.
'I'm really good friends with Jade, we grew up together in South Shields,' Joe tells us.
And he was so keen to see his mate bag the title that he picked up the phone to help the band out.
'It was the first time I've voted actually,' says Joe. 'It was the first time I'd been able to sit and watch it as a member of the public.'
