Paris Jackson has admitted that she used to think it was silly when her dad Michael covered her face under a mask.
The 13-year-old, whose singing legend father died aged 50 in 2009, struggled to understand why Michael went to such extremes to hide her and brothers Prince, 14, and Blanket, 9, from public view when she was younger.
'I'm like, "This is stupid, why am I wearing a mask?"' says Paris, 13.
'But I kind of realised the older I got, like he only tried to protect us and he'd explain that to us too.'
Though Paris was home schooled when Michael was alive, she now attends LA's Buckley School.
'I have a regular childhood,' Paris tells Ellen DeGeneres.
'I'm treated the same. They didn't know who I was.
'I was like, "Yes, I have a chance to be normal".'
