SHOCK SPLIT! Is Katy Perry to divorce Russell Brand?

The singer said to have ended her marriage to Russell Brand - but Now's Dan Wootton debunks the story

Katy Perry is reported to have filed for divorce from husband Russell Brand after US rumours circulated online.

But Now's Dan Wootton has got to the bottom of the story and confirmed it's false.

The 27-year-old singer's relationship with comedian Russell, 36, has been dogged by split rumours since they married in India in October last year.

The couple have spent a lot of time apart because of work commitments and tactile Russell was snapped hand-in-hand with a pretty blonde stylist in the summer, fuelling speculation of a rift.

Fans have been hoping for the announcement of a baby Brand on the way, but Katy recently admitted starting a family was on hold because she's too busy having fun.

'I would love to have children. That's one of the reasons you get married,' she told The Insider.

'[But] I still love drinking alcohol so not yet.'
