Cheryl Cole's ex Ashley to star in movie with Danny Dyer

We doubt Chezza will be going to watch it

Ashley Cole is taking up an acting career

Ashley Cole knows that his footballing career won't last forever, so the savvy defender is already lining up his next project - acting.

The Chelsea player, 30, is set to star in football-based documentary drama Played alongside Danny Dyer, 34, next year.

'The plot follows a football agent [Danny] and how he goes about his business while living the Premier League lifestyle,' a source tells The Sun.

'It features a few dodgy underhand transfers and sleeping around with different women.'

Cheryl Cole's ex will appear as himself in the Noel Clark directed film, which he is also financially backing.

It's not the first time Ashley has given money to a British film - back in 2008 he paid towards gangster movie Dead Man Running, which starred Danny and 50 Cent, 36.
