Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton have an awkward meeting in a car park

It looks as if the former couple haven't stayed friends

Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton were together for 4 years

Less than a month after they called time on their relationship, Lewis Hamilton has been snapped with ex Nicole Scherzinger during an awkward encounter in an LA car park.

The Formula One ace, 26, and US X Factor judge, 33, stood in silence before Nicole gave her former boyfriend a hug.

Lewis kept his hands in his pockets during the embrace, despite recently stating the pair were on good terms.

'We're friends at least and we can move forward,' Lewis said last month.

'It's these kind of times that are sent to try you - and it's about how you pull through them.'

The couple broke up after 4 years in October, reportedly because of Lewis's reluctance to settle down and have children.

He has since been seen out and about with a mystery brunette, while Nicole has been linked to US X Factor host Steve Jones and rapper Drake.
