There aren't many men that would happily spend most of their free time with their ex and her partner, but Hugh Grant doesn't seem to mind.

Cast your mind back to when, before she was engaged to Shane Warne, Liz Hurley was with ex-hubby Arun Nayar and Hugh went on holiday with them.

Now she's engaged to the Aussie cricket star, it seems old habits die hard.

In a recent interview, Liz revealed that Hugh, 51, and Shane, 42, even play golf together.

The actress has also been having regular Skype chats from Australia with Hugh since the news broke he's fathered a daughter with aspiring actress Tinglan Hong.

‘Shane's old-fashioned and hates his woman talking so much to her ex,' says our source.

‘But she's explained that her relationship with Hugh is purely platonic.

'Liz says she'll support Hugh as long as he needs  her.'

Hugh's asked Liz to be godmother to his baby, born on 26 September following Hugh's brief fling earlier this year.

He's since been linked with 21-year-old burlesque star Elisa Schmidt, but moved Tinglan and their daughter into a £1.2 million home in west London.

Liz has her eye on a special gift for her godchild, whose Chinese name translates into English as ‘happy accident'.  

A spokesperson for Liz Hurley insisted that everything between her and Shane is fine.
