Ashley Cole planning to impress Cheryl with sexy Spanish words?

The footballer is learning a new language

Ashley Cole is hoping to soon be fluent in Spanish. 

The Chelsea footballer has been keen to learn another language for a while, so he's bought a beginners' CD and downloaded it onto his laptop and iPod.

'He decided Spanish was a good option as it's one of the most widely spoken languages on the planet,' says a friend.

'He walks around with his earphones in practising.'

And it seems Ashley, 30 - who's perhaps hoping to impress his ex-wife Cheryl Cole, 28 - is a fast learner. 

'He has a really good authentic accent already with some words,' the friend tells the Daily Star.

'Ashley was joking that he'll be practising his phrases with Chelsea team mates Juan Mata and Fernando Torres in no time.'
