Michael Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray found guilty of involuntary manslaughter

The jury took just 9 hours to find Dr Conrad Murray guilty

Dr Conrad Murray showed no emotion as a jury unanimously decided he was guilty of the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson yesterday.

The 58-year-old, who was refused bail, will be sentenced on 29 November when he could be sent to prison for a maximum of 4 years and could also lose his medical licence.

Dr Murray was convicted of abandoning Michael after delivering him a fatal dose of the powerful anaesthetic propofol, which defence lawyers claimed the singer administered himself.

The verdict prompted a shriek from a woman in the LA court and cheers from fans outside.

'Justice was served,' says Michael's brother Jermaine Jackson, 56.
