Kim Kardashian has given her first TV interview since she announced her split from Kris Humphries earlier this week.

The socialite, who's in Australia with younger sister Khloe to promote their Kardashian Kollection handbag line, refused to go into detail about the exact reasons for her break-up with the basketball player, 26.  

'I think when you know so deep in your heart just to listen to your intuition and follow your heart, there's no right or wrong thing to do,' she said.

Despite her personal turmoil, Kim, 31, flew to Australia yesterday with Khloe, 27, and her husband Lamar Odom, 31, because she was determined to carry on with business as usual.

'I really wanted to stick with my commitment to come out here. I love the fan base here,' she told Aussie morning show Sunrise.

'I did want some time to myself but I don't want to bail on everyone and skip out on this commitment here.

'I've got Khloe and Lamar here and we're just getting through it.'
