Lindsay Lohan sentenced to 30 days in jail

Lindsay Lohan has been given a 30-day prison sentence for breaching her probation for previous offences.

The actress, who's expected to spend just one or two days behind bars because of overcrowding, was warned by judge Stephanie Sautner that she could face an extra 270 days in jail if she violates the terms again. 

Lindsay, 25, was also ordered by the LA court to perform community service at a morgue and attend psychotherapy sessions. 

The Mean Girls star was found guilty of drink-driving in 2007.

Lindsay - who's been jailed numerous times before but has usually been released within a few hours for procedural reasons - has until 9 November to report to prison.    

'Probably she will be booked in and maybe spend the night and be released the next day,' says California jail official Steve Whitmore.
