Actor Hugh Grant is 'delighted' to be a father

Hugh Grant has never been married

Hugh Grant is a first-time dad to a little girl at the age of 51.

The Notting Hill actor's daughter, whose mum has not been identified, is said to be 5 weeks old.

'I can confirm that Hugh Grant is the delighted father of a baby girl,' says his spokesman.

'He and the mother had a fleeting affair and, while this was not planned, Hugh could not be happier or more supportive.

'He and the mother have discussed everything and are on very friendly terms.'

Hugh briefly dated Tinglang Hong, 32, at the beginning of this year.

He was in a relationship with actress Liz Hurley, 46, for 13 years before they split in 2000, and dated socialite Jemima Khan, 37, for 3 years from 2004.
