Norman Cook and wife Zoe Ball have both given up booze - but it was much harder for the DJ - aka Fatboy Slim.
He sought professional help when he and Zoe, 40, decided in 2009 to get sober.
'Zo just quit drinking so easily
and said she didn't want to do it any more,' reveals Norman, 48. 'I couldn't. I
tried and found out I was an addict.
'Rehab taught me that being
an alcoholic you can't drink responsibly... so you can't drink at all.
So that's the choice I made, to quit booze for good.'
Norman was petrified about DJing without alcohol, but has found a way of getting into the spirit of each night.
'I was s****ing myself,' he tells The Sunday Mirror. 'It was two or three gigs before I could dance. My hips wouldn't do it.
'I get a completely different buzz nowadays. In rehab they taught me about euphoric recall.
'When I'm in a situation where everyone is "having it" I have memories of the past coming back to me.
'I get a natural high from remembering those times.'
