Tara Palmer-Tomkinson is desperate to find the love of her life

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson famously weaned herself off the £400-a-day cocaine habit that led to her nose collapsing and won praise for getting clean.

But fears are growing again for Taraas her behaviour becomes more and more erratic - most recently being pictured with make-up smeared down her face, running barefoot through London in the early hours.

Now we can reveal the shocking reason behind her heavy boozing: she's in love with a man she can't have: Blue singer Duncan James.

Tara, 39, has been friends with bisexual Duncan, 33, for eight years and she wants to take their relationship further.

Sadly, he sees her as just a mate.

‘During the time they've known each other, they've been on holidays together and stayed at each other's houses.

'He's always been an emotional support to her,' says a close source.

‘After a string of failed attempts to bag a man, Tara suddenly realised that Duncan was the one for her.

'He's sensitive, caring and they get on really well.'
