SHOCK WEDDING PROPOSAL! Katie Price's ex Alex Reid asks Chantelle Houghton to marry him on live TV

Alex Reid and Chantelle Houghton are to marry after the cage fighter proposed on live TV.

Katie Price's ex popped the question during an interview with his girlfriend on Irish programme The Saturday Night Show last night. 

After being prodded to do so by host Brendan O'Connor, Alex, 36, thrilled the audience by asking Chantelle, 28, to be his wife. 

'I haven't got a ring, but you know what, I'm going to do it,' he said.

'Seriously, nobody tell anyone! Will you marry me?'

A delighted Chantelle said yes and the couple shared a celebratory kiss.

But the couple won't be able to plan a wedding just yet as Alex's divorce from Katie, 33, has not been finalised yet. 

The glamour model, aka Jordan, dumped him in January after just 11 months of marriage.

Chantelle divorced first husband Samuel Preston in 2007.

She recently admitted that she has fertility issues - but that hasn't stopped her and Alex from trying for a baby.
