David Walliams has completed his epic 8-day 140-mile swim of the River Thames, raising £1,194,258 - and growing - for Sport Relief.
He set off from Lechlade, Gloucestershire, on Monday last week and was nearly forced to quit after getting a nasty ‘Thames tummy' bug.
The comedian, 40, who swam the Channel in 2006, was greeted by wife Lara Stone, 27, as he climbed out onto dry land.
‘I feel quite tired, I'll be honest with you,' he told the Daily Mail and admitted he planned to celebrate with ‘a half of shandy' - and go to bed.
David was cheered by well-wishers along the route and really appreciated all the support.
‘Thank you so much,' he told the crowd who greeted him at Westminster Bridge.
'Thank you for your waves, for your cheers; but most of all, thank you for your donations, because each time this would be completely meaningless unless you all put your hands in your pocket.'
