Sarah Jessica Parker has admitted that - unlike her Sex And The City alter-ego Carrie Bradshaw - she doesn't get a thrill from shopping for shoes.
The mum-of-three, who has been married to actor Matthew Broderick for 14 years, claims she has no time for retail therapy while juggling her acting career and family life.
‘I'm not a huge shopper,' reveals Sarah, 46.
‘I just tend not to have the time and I think it would be nice to go to a department store or shop but it just doesn't fit into my day.
‘I don't get a euphoric high from owning a lot of shoes.
‘I love fashion but if I'm not working I'm really just wearing whatever is right to get out of the door, like most mums.'
Nevertheless, style icon Sarah is still fond of the couture-mad character that made her name.
‘I'm always reminded of the affection that Carrie had for her friendships and for the city,' New Yorker Sarah tells the Daily Record.
‘And having played her for so long, it would be impossible to shed her completely and I must confess that I very much like having her as part of me.'
