Gwyneth Paltrow: I'm a romantic but I admire people who've had affairs

Hollywood actress says marriage to Coldplay's Chris Martin still strong

Gwyneth Paltrow realises an awful lot of us have tangled love lives.

The movie star - who's been married to Coldplay singer Chris Martin for 8 years - says she can make allowances for others' relationship problems.

‘I am a great romantic - but I also think you can be a romantic and a realist,' reveals Gwyneth, 38.

‘Life is complicated and long and I know people that I respect and admire and look up to who have had extra-marital affairs.

‘It's like we're flawed - we're human beings and sometimes you make choices that other people are going to judge.'

While the actress - who plays a cheating wife in new film Contagion - is open-minded when it comes to infidelity, she's adamant that her own marriage remains strong.

‘I'm lucky - I have a wonderful, blessed life,' Gwyneth tells the Daily Telegraph.

‘I have two fantastically delightful children and a very nice husband so... Knock on wood.'
