Keira Knightley has revealed that she can smell sexual energy when she enters a room.

The Oscar-nominated actress - who recently began dating Klaxons keyboardist James Righton after splitting from long-term boyfriend Rupert Friend in January - thinks it's easy to spot a romantic connection.

‘I think you do know if there is sex in the room,' says Keira, 26.

‘You pick up on chemistry between people.'

The Pirates Of The Caribbean star likes to hang out with male friends who are artistic and intuitive.

‘I suppose the guys aren't great jocks,' Keira tells Marie Claire.

‘They are sort of artistic and tend to be directors or writers or musicians or actors.

‘The boys have a sensitive side.'
