Footballers aren't alone in wanting to have their cake and eat it - celebrity chefs are fast earning their stripes as love rats, too.

Following in the footsteps of Rick Stein, Gordon Ramsay and Marco Pierre White, Michelin-starred chef Heston Blumenthal, 
45, has left his wife of 22 years Zanna for sultry food writer Suzanne Pirret, 45.

The chef, who owns famous restaurant The Fat Duck in Berkshire and is known for his odd dishes, including snail porridge, has previously thanked his wife for helping him hit the big time.

But in a move that'll make your bacon and eggs ice cream curdle, Zanna, 47, 
has been left holding the apron strings after raising Heston's three teenage kids - Jack, 18, Jessie, 
16, and Joy, 14.

‘Zanna's the reason for my success because she's supported me every step of the way,' Heston once said.

‘She's sacrificed so much and has never complained.'

But Zanna's likely to be at boiling point now Heston's substituted her with the sizzling Suzanne, who famously declared: ‘Food and sex - two of my favourite things.

'Best one 
after the other in either order, 
I'm not picky.'

Heston's spokeswoman 
claims he's still on good terms with Zanna.

She said: ‘Over the course of their marriage they've built an extremely successful business, but one that's taken its toll on their relationship.

'They remain good friends and devoted parents of their three children who are their main focus.'
