Corinne Bailey Rae has a new man in her life 3 years after her musician husband was found dead from a drug and alcohol overdose.
The singer smiled as she linked arms with pianist and producer Steve Brown when she arrived at the University of Leeds where she was awarded an honorary doctorate of music.
The pair are believed to have been friends for a long time, with Steve supporting Corinne through her mourning and helping her put together her recent Top 5 album The Sea.
The body of Corinne's husband Jason Rae, 31, was discovered in a friend's house after a night out in Leeds in March 2008.
As a result she turned her back on her music career and struggled to find the energy to do anything.
'I sat at my kitchen table for a whole year,' Corinne, 32, said in a previous interview.
'People came and went, life drifted by. It was just bleak. Bleak.
'I didn't even try to write. It was too big a thing, too raw. I was empty, hollow.'
