Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace was a contestant on Big Brother 7 in 2006

Former Big Brother contestant Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace says her friendship with the late Amy Winehouse wasn't a wild one.

Aisleyne met Amy through a pal and the pair grew close before her premature death on Saturday at the age of 27.

'She'd seen me years ago on
Big Brother - at my worst - and she wanted to meet me so our mutual
friend set it up,' reveals Aisleyne, 32.

'I was very honoured to meet
her and when we met, we just clicked straight away and it was a
friendship rather than being in awe of her.

'She was just a fantastic woman who made everyone comfortable.

'She was very loving...very loving.'

Aisleyne insists Amy had turned her life around, despite battling a drink and drug addiction for years.

'The papers are saying that the last time I was with her I was drinking,' she tells ITV1's This Morning.

'In fact the last time I was with her I was in her house in her kitchen and we were drinking tea having a girlie gossip as I would with any friend just talking about guys.'
