Devastated Blake Fielder-Civil collapsed after learning of ex-wife Amy Winehouse's death at the weekend.

The 29-year-old is serving 32 months in prison for burglary and a firearm offence and is being kept under close watch by staff at Leeds' Armley Jail.

'I'm beyond inconsolable ... my tears won't dry,' said Blake.

'I will never ever again feel the love I felt for her.

'Everybody who knew me and knew Amy knew the depth of our love. I can't believe she's dead.'

Blake and Amy married on 18 May 2007 but divorced in 2009. Even after their split the couple seemed unable to let go and Blake has long been blamed for Amy's downfall.

The former music runner is now in a relationship with Sarah Aspin, 33 - the mother of his baby boy Jack - who saw him in prison this weekend after he was granted a special compassionate visit.

'He is devastated and shattered. He just can't take it in that she's dead and he'll never see her again,' Sarah tells The Sun.

'Blake rang me on Saturday after the prison authorities told him she'd died. I just couldn't console him. He was in total shock.

'Basically they couldn't live with each other and they could not live without each other. It is hard for me knowing he still loved her, but I do
understand his feelings.'

Amy, 27, was found dead at her Camden home on Saturday after a long battle with drink and drugs.
