Biggest Euromillions winners ever: Chris and Colin Weir are the new Posh and Becks

Scottish couple can't wait to spend their millions

David and Victoria Beckham have the same bank balance as Chris and Colin Weir

Chris and Colin Weir's new £161m fortune equals the estimated wealth of David Beckham and Victoria Beckham.

The lucky couple from Largs in Ayrshire, who have been married for 30 years and both suffer from disabilities, were understandably shocked when they discovered their win late at night.

'We just sat up. We were so full of adrenaline we couldn't sleep. We couldn't really do anything. We were tickled pink,' says retired nurse Christine, 55.

'It got to about 4am and dawn was breaking. We could see the sun coming up. It was magical but we still couldn't sleep.

'We even opened a bottle of wine - and I don't drink. We had to wait until 9 o'clock until the lottery line opened.'

Chris and Colin want to use the money to travel to China and Australia and buy houses and cars for their 2 children Carly, 24, and Jamie, 22.

'It felt like a dream. Everything went into slow motion,' says TV cameraman Colin, 64, of their win.

'But it feels like a good thing; something we should not to be afraid of but for us to enjoy with the children.'
