Teeny-weeny Katie Holmes looks gaunt after dropping from a UK size 10 to a UK size 8.

The actress, 32, is modelling her new super-slim body on pals Victoria Beckham and Malin Akerman, who's currently filming movie Rock Of Ages with Tom Cruise in Miami.

‘Katie openly admires both their bodies,' a friend tells us.

‘She declared herself pudgy a few months ago and has been working all out at getting skinny.'

Meanwhile, insiders say Tom, who turns 49 on 3 July, is oblivious to Kate's vanishing frame.

‘He's a bit blinded by love, you could say,' says the pal.

‘He thinks she's beautiful no matter what.

'He hasn't noticed that she's become way too thin, despite the fact her chest is almost flat and her bones are jutting out.

'Katie says she's never felt better, but hopefully Tom will soon realise and sort her out.'

After studying the pictures of Katie in her bikini, top Hollywood trainer Jay Chavez tells Now that the star's made a textbook error by losing fat without trying to tone up.

‘She looks like she could be deficient in protein,' he says.

‘It seems she's cutting back on calories, which is good for losing body fat but not for tone.'
