Ryan Piers Williams and America Ferrera got engaged in June last year

Ugly Betty actress America Ferrera has married her long-term love Ryan Piers Williams.

The couple exchanged vows in an intimate New York ceremony on Monday in front of celebrity friends including Blake Lively, who starred alongside America in 2005 film The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants.

'The bride wore a dress by Amsale's Christos label and Fred Leighton earrings,' America's publicist tells People magazine.

America first met aspiring director Ryan, 30,at the University Of Southern California when he cast her in his student film.

'We kind of connected from the get-go on that professional level and that was something that really drew us to each other,' America, 27, revealed last year.

'A shared passion for what we do and our work.'
