X Factor audience chants: Bring back Cheryl Cole!
Series 8 of the talent search has kicked off nationwide and the crowd in Manchester this week made it clear they're missing the feisty Geordie.
'Bring back Cheryl, bring back Cheryl!' they're reported to have chanted, before booing Tulisa for criticising auditionee Laverne Scott-Roberts for not 'connecting with the audience'.
Simon Cowell is also absent so Tulisa is doing her best with Take That's Gary Barlow, Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland and veteran Louis Walsh.
'It's strange without Simon, but the format's really missing Cheryl,' one fan told the Daily Mirror.
But N-Dubz star Tulisa, 22, can deal with any heckling.
'Tulisa is one tough cookie - she's a girl who decided to make
something of her life despite the odds stacked against her,'
Jessica Mellor, who knew Tulisa when she was a child, tells Now.
'She's funny, honest and not afraid to speak up.
'From what I saw, the talented songwriter certainly has enough cred to eclipse Cheryl Cole as the nation's new sweetheart.'
