Brian McFadden: I definitely wasn't dumped by Delta Goodrem

Brian McFadden says his split from Delta Goodrem was mutual

Brian McFadden insists his split from Delta Goodrem was very much a two-way thing.

The couple separated last month after 7 years together, and though singer Delta, 26, has already been spotted on a date with 18-year-old Nick Jonas, Brian insists she wasn't the one to break off their engagement.

'I'm a hothead, if I was dumped everyone would have known about it,' says Brian, 30. 'I definitely wasn't dumped. It was a completely mutual decision.

'We both knew what we were doing, we knew it was the right time (to end it).'

Brian has now been snapped flying in to Sydney airport with Irish reality TV star Vogue Williams, but the ex-Westlife singer is still very fond of Delta.

'It is sad. Seven years is a long time together, you become a massive part of each other's lives,' he tells the Australian Telegraph.

'The sad thing is getting used to not being together. But we're both in a really good place and we're happy.

'We both know it was the right decision.'
