Babyshambles star is put behind bars for the third time

Pete Doherty pleaded guilty to drug charges

Pete Doherty was due to play a gig in Glasgow last night but fans were disappointed as he was banged up.

Pete, 32, appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court and was jailed for 6 months - his third custodial sentence for possession of Class A drugs.

'There is no doubt that you are a talented and successful musician,' Judge David Radford told him.

'You have though, an appalling record of committing offences of the same kind as I have to deal with on this occasion.'

Pete waved to friends at the back of the courtroom as he was led down to the cells.
