After the disaster of Barbarellagate, Cheryl Cole ditched the bright colours for the latest round of US X Factor auditions in Chicago.
The Geordie star opted for a black and white polka dot Sonia Rykiel shift dress instead.
The new judge teamed the high-necked number - which can be snapped up for £290 at ASOS.com - with a pair of dotty wedges.
Cheryl, 27, brought colour to her outfit with bright red nails and twisted her hair into a relaxed up-do.
But the monochrome dress's straight-up-and-down shape, short length and oversized bow at the collar did nothing for Cheryl's petite frame.
And the ankle straps of her T-bar wedge sandals shortened the Girls Aloud singer's legs, making her look - incredibly! - a tad dumpy.
Fellow judge Paula Abdul, 48, also failed to impress in a clashing leopard print mini-skirt and floral top at the Sears Convention Centre.
