Chanelle Hayes 'distraught' by news her mum's murderer could soon be out of jail

Chanelle Hayes is having to deal with the upsetting news that her mum's killer could be freed from jail within a month.

The Big Brother 8 star's mum Andrea Sinclair worked as a prostitute and was strangled and mutilated by her client Keith Pollard when Chanelle was 6 months old.

'She's had to live with what happened to her mum ever since she
­discovered the horrific details and it's something that haunts her
every day,' says a close source.

'She received a letter in the post last week saying Pollard was due for ­parole. Her heart sank as the enormity of what was ­ happening started to hit her.'

Chanelle, 23, who was adopted by loving parents Christine and Harry Hayes, is mum to 10-month-old baby son Blakely and fears for her family's safety.

‘The thought of [Pollard] out
there really scares me. I just know he'd come after me,' Chanelle - who was recently reunited with boyfriend Jack Tweed - admitted in 2008.

'Chanelle doesn't know what to do for the best. She doesn't want to leave her home but she can't spend her days in a complete panic, ­fearing every noise outside is Pollard coming to kill her,' the pal tells the Daily Star.

'She truly believes that if Pollard could do what he did to her mum, then there's no reason why he won't do the same to her. She's in a right state about it all.'
