Khloe Kardashian: It was hard for Kim when I got married

The US star talks diets, sibling rivalry and beating cancer

Khloe Kardashian married LA Lakers star Lamar Odom after only 30 days of dating

Forget superstar Kim and yummy mummy Kourtney, it's straight-talker  Khloe Kardashian, 26, who's stunned the world with her successful marriage to LA Lakers basketball star Lamar Odom.

'No one thought I was going to get married. I get that it was a shock to everyone,' Khloe tells Now.

'I got married after just 30 days together and 18 months later we're doing great.'

Although Khloe, 26, tries hard to emit an air of confidence, it's easy to see that being called the 'fat, ugly sister' by some people has understandably taken its toll on her self-esteem.

But standing at a statuesque 5ft 10in and a curvy size 12-14, she finally feels truly sexy and she's stepping out of her famous sisters' shadows with her fab new TV show Khloe & Lamar...

'I'm not as insecure as I was a few years ago but it was hard for a while,' she admits.

'Everyone has insecure days or moments. Lamar's a huge part of my self-confidence now.

'He's changed my life completely. If I lose weight, if I gain weight, he makes me feel perfect every single day.

'I think it was hard for Kim when I got married. It was a wake-up call for her.

'It wasn't jealousy as such - it was more: "Oh my God, my little sister is getting married."

'I was in a place she wanted to get to. It made her reflect a lot.'
